The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation is proud to present
1800 Miles: The Light the Trail Story.
Starting in October of 2022, a group of individuals rode their bikes 1800 miles across the United States of America. They rode to light the trail for those suffering in the darkness. They rode for family and friends. They rode for the many who struggle in quiet and alone, unaware of those ready and willing to provide a listening ear.
1800 Miles: The Light the Trail Story is a powerful documentary following their journey. It tells the emotional story behind the ride and draws attention to those suffering in silence, as well as how each of us and our communities can be ready to help.
We at the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation are thrilled to share that this documentary will be showing across the country, premiering at Tribfest in Austin on September 22nd, 2023. It will continue to show in film festivals, private gatherings and appreciation events throughout the country, including Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Chicago, Memphis, St. Louis and more.
Please check back throughout the fall and winter as more dates and locations are announced.
In addition to telling the story of this incredible ride, our tour is meant to bring light to those suffering in darkness; to train our communities in steps they can take to prevent suicide, and to bring hope to those who believe they are alone. Whether your personal story is happy, sad, or this is the first time you’ve learned about the needs in our community, we hope that you will join us in bringing the conversation to light.

What is the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation?
Following the unimaginable suicide of their daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Harris, a young woman who lit up every room she entered, Tom and Ellen Harris launched the foundation in 2012. Created to honor her life and allow us to continue her lifelong passion of helping those in need by focusing on research and awareness related to depression and suicide, JEHF envisions a world without suicide or depression.
As an organization, our mission is to prevent suicide, eliminate stigma and provide hope to people struggling with depression. We offer a range of resources to communities, including our QPR trainings, with the intention of sharpening our ability to support the ones we love.
Simply put, The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation works to prevent suicide, shining a light on depression and suicide.
